Elijah's Curse

Elijah’s Curse is a dark and gothic adventure side-scroller about a vampire named Elijah trying to free his family from vampire hunters while managing his bloodlust. 

Made for the Greenlight Jam 2022

Controls:

• Player Movement:
  • W, S – Jump Up / Down
  • A, D – Left / Right
  • P – Punch (Attack)
  • SPACE – Switch to / from Vampire form
• While In Vampire Form:
  • O – Bite (Adds blood to meter)
  • I – Invisibility (Hide until punch)
  • U – Heal
• Misc.:
  • ESC - Quit the game

Human / Vampire Form Explained:

• Human form has reduced stats but drains blood at a slower rate (see below)
• Vampire form has increased stats and access to abilities but drains blood at a much faster rate
• The key "SPACE" is used to switch between the two forms

Blood and Health System Explained:

• White indicates the HP of the player
• Red indicates the blood level of the player
• Running out of blood will lead to a  RAPID drop in HP
• Blood passively drains normally but drains faster in vampire form
• Blood is obtained by a successful bite using key "O"
• HP can be regained using the Heal ability with key "U"
• Invisibility and Heal abilities cost blood per use
