It Tanks Two
A downloadable game for Windows and Linux
A simple tower defense where you move tanks to take out some slugs. Tanks are doubled up at the top!
Introduction/Overview
In It Tanks Two, players control a tank that controls a remote control tank on the other side of the map! This gives you double the firepower, you'll need it for these slugs!
Game Concept/Theme
The theme of the jam is "Takes Two to Tango," and in It Tanks Two, players must survive waves of enemies while managing limited space and cash.
Gameplay
Controls:
- Panning: Use WASD to pan around the map to have a look!
- Zooming: Use Q and E to zoom in and out to have a better view!
- Spawning: Click the hangar to open the shop. Choose what tank to buy. (Only one tank option at the moment!)
- Movement: Click the tank to select it and control the tank by right clicking control points to chain moves.
- Shooting: When a slug is in range, the tank will target and shoot it, doing some damage!
- Survive: Slugs get beefier as you go, make sure to keep killing them!
Features
- 2D Graphics Rendering Engine

Challenges
There were some serious issues with the way I was storing and referencing the attributes on my ECS and it resulted in a pretty large overhaul of the framework during the jam. This improvement will be very beneficial for future jams and game projects!
Post-Jam Plans (Optional)
Let me know what you think of the game in general! I personally would like to move in a bit of a different direction with the game design of the project. Specifically I would prefer a more turn-based game that emphasizes more of the strategy than simply spamming tanks!
